Valerie Habbel joined DEval in May 2019 as evaluator, after working at the UN World Food Programme in Bangkok, Thailand, as DAAD Scholarship holder for seven months. She gained further professional experience in a micro credit project in Peru, with a development organisation in Bonn (sequa gGbmH) and the German Development Bank (KfW) in Frankfurt. Valerie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University College London in the UK and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Erfurt, where she specialised in international political economy and non-profit management.
