Further information on the presentation:
Esteban Tapella is an evaluation expert having a rich fund of experience in conducting evaluations and in teaching and consulting on this topic, especially but not exclusively in Latin America. Currently he is a professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Juan in Argentina and working as an independent consultant. Esteban Tapella is a member of the directorate of the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Monitoring, Evaluation and Systematization (ReLAC). ReLAC only recently published – supported by DEval’s project FOCEVAL – the Evaluation Standards for Latin America and the Caribbean of which he is one of the authors.
Esteban Tapella will present ReLAC and speak about how it was established, how it complies with the functions it has, which challenges it faces and why it was decided to elaborate the ReLAC Standards. Also, he will speak about what role ReLAC aims to play in the area of development evaluation and how he imagines an institute like DEval should work together with ReLAC.
