The German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) is looking for a consulting team consisting of one senior consultant, one consultant and two research assistants to prepare, implement, and follow up on the data collection in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The duration of the data collection shall be from approximately 17th of May to 16th of July 2021. The period of cooperation ends latest 30th of November 2021. The volume of work for the consulting team will consist of up to 132 working days.

As part of its multi-year evaluation programme, DEval will carry out an evaluation of the German development cooperation’s promotion of sustainable supply chains in the textile and garment industry. The purpose of the evaluation is to provide a better understanding of whether and to which extent the different strategic approaches (referred to as instruments) employed by German development cooperation are well-suited to reduce human rights violations and environmental damage, thereby contributing to fair and sustainable textile supply chains.
The consulting team shall apply as a team as they will be asked to work together very closely for the implementation of this assignment. The consulting team shall perform the following tasks:

- Participation in virtual onboarding-workshop
- Participation in virtual training workshop
- Piloting the data collection
- Preparation of data collection
- Data collection
- Documentation of the interviews and focus groups
- Debriefing
- Logistical management
- Feedback loops virtual closing workshop
